As the vessel's machinery and means of communication are becoming more expensive foreign shipowners try to decrease gradually expenses for their maintenance and operating. As a result, on board of almost all vessels navigating under flag of convenience only officers of high level (master, chief officer, chief engineer, second engineer) are educated enough in vessel's navigating and operating. Very often the rest of the crew, consisting of multinational seafarers, are insufficiently trained, what often causes inexpert maintenance of the vessel's machinery, its serious breakage and false ordering of the repair teams at the ports of call.
Quite the opposite Ukrainian seafarers are trained for the serious and professional attitude towards the machinery. Having been well skilled they know how to maintain the equipment in good conditions and doing it on the continuous basis they reduce the time of the machinery repair what is much more lucrative than less paid but insufficiently skilled seafarers.
To meet the requirements of the Principals, UET Marine Ltd supplies qualified and competent ship staff and puts great attention on screening and selection of seafarers.
